my favorite outfits

I thought since I still haven't found an adequate tripod for my camera yet, I'd post some of my favorite outfits! Enjoy :)


I love the fur scarf, I got one very similar to this the other day at Buffalo Exchange but it's a darker faux mink fur. I also like the leather/leatherish leggings, I know alot of people think these are kind of trashy but I think they're cool! I need to get some!

I adore the purple sheeny skirt, and of course the Chanel pouch bag!

This is really similar to the first outfit I posted, but this is a vest instead. I like the idea of a (faux!) vest alot more than a fur coat, because coats always look really bulky to me, but the vest balances the outfit out more.

I like everything about this outfit except the white RayBan Wayfarers. I love the RayBans but hate white sunglasses. I don't like white cars either...I just think it looks so cheap up next to the black tires and glass. Same with the sunglasses I guess, too contrasty!

This is adorable! It looks sooo cozy. I have a sweater like this but it's thinner. I wonder if she tied that bow on herself? I love it! I'm definitely gonna try and recreate this look.

This look reminds me alot of Anna Sui, except Anna Sui probably would have patterned tights as well! I love this look, who doesn't?!

This is awesome, I love the leggings but wish the zippers were on the side like the American Apparel ones (below) I'm lusting after! I will get them soon for sure.

I love how short the dress is, and how tall the boots are. I also really like how her socks are peeking up out of her boots, I need to try this!

gossip girl

Gahh I'm so glad I found this website now, otherwise I'd be pausing my DVR for minutes at a time while I stared in awe at these amazing outfits on Gossip Girl! Taylor Momsen amazes me. Well maybe not her but her character, Jenny Humphrey's outfits are stunning! I'm not loving her new haircut...

...but her style is getting more and more ambitious as her designing career takes off. I especially love her friend, Agnes', played by Willa Howard (who was Marissa Cooper's little sister in The O.C.) outfits. True, the slip with a bra hanging out is not the most ready-to-wear outfit, but I adore it nonetheless. I have all my basic colors of tights from last year, black, red, dark purple, brown, black ribbed, and a cable knit, but I need to go out and get me some lacy ones! I also really like these Chanel inspired tights from Urban Outfitters

They're only $14!!!! Here are the Chanel ones, so great, although I don't know who in their right mind would spend $350 and up on tights. Ugh.

my number one lemming

Yearn: To have a strong, often melancholy desire.

I absolutely yearn for these Marc Jacobs Mouse flats. Always have, always will. Until I buy them of course! They come in a variety of styles and colors, but the ones I adore are the white patent leather flats. I also really like the slingbacks (below) with the little bow but I've heard they are uncomfortable. These are not everyones cup of tea, but I think paired with dark skinny jeans and a long comfy cardigan or a simple little black dress they make a major statement. Here are some other varieties the fabulous Marc Jacobs has come up with!

and most recently, these babies have faux embroidered feautures, which I do not like one bit! They come in red patent, white patent, and I think blue and black as well.

my first time

This is my first official blog entry! I guess I should list a few things about me

-My name is Amanda

-My hobbies are fashion, and photography

-I adore partying and having fun

-Shopping is my therapy, it soothes my mind, body, and soul!

-I'm 17 right now (2008)

-I work with kids at a daycare (babies actually)

-As of now I have bleached blonde hair

-I love pickles and pickle juice

-I like all music, excluding rap and most hip-hop, and heavy metal

-I shop very frugally, at places like Goodwill, Salvation Army, and the mall!

-I pride myself on my massive amount of clothes, but find myself often with nothing to wear

That's enough for now! I'm mainly doing this blog for myself, to document what I wear, when I wear it, and how I felt when I wore it! Though since I know a few people might stumble upon this blog, I'll try to make it entertaining! I don't have any up to date outfit pictures yet, so here are a few outfits I find inspiring.
